Epic Militaria
- Film/TheatreFilm/TheatreEpic Militaria has supplied a number of film studios, theatre groups, photo shoots, adverts and TV drama series with World War Two reproduction items and props. Our customers include Universal Pictures, Angels the Costumiers of London, the British Army, Navy and RAF, and the US Military to name but a few. We have customers worldwide, from all throughout Europe to North and South America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Scandinavia, Australia... even the Korean DMZ - You name it! We have helped a number of individuals create that authentic WWII look, taking them back in history and making their special event - be it a re-enactment event or party - a memorable one.
At Epic Militaria, we promise you a discreet and professional service. We have a wide range of WW2 German and American military items and extensive knowledge and experience of this period in history. Most recently we continue to be a major supplier to the highly anticipated forthcoming Iron Sky, brought to you by Blind Spot Pictures. Iron Sky is a sci-fi movie that takes place in the year 2018, when the Nazis, who fled the Earth to the dark side of the Moon in 1945, return to claim the Earth. Pictured below is a teaser shot of Costume Designer Jake sporting some of our kit. This movie is drawing a huge amount of interest worldwide and we for one can't wait to see it.   Inglourious Basterds (2009)
Quentin Tarantino's 2009 multiple award winning box office smash "Inglourious Basterds" follows the fictional story of First Lieutenant Aldo Raine (played by Brad Pitt) as he leads his team of Jewish Allied soldiers on a mission to assassinate the Nazi Party Leadership. The film earned over 320 billion dollars in cinemas worldwide, making it Tarantino's highest-grossing film to date, and received rave reviews from critics.
Despite claims made by some other sellers, all the uniforms for the main actors came from a Polish company. However, Epic Militaria were a significant supplier to the film, providing a large amount of the insignia for the supporting cast. We were lucky enough to visit the film studios and whilst for obvious reasons no-one outside the cast and crew were allowed on set, we did get the chance to meet some of the folk behind the scenes and came away with a few juicy snaps of the costume department, including some of our own kit. Our boss, Julian, managed to get up close and personal with the uniform worn by Christoph Waltz, who won several prestigious awards for his performance as Austrian SS Officer, Standartenführer Hans Landa.
    Hollywood blockbusters aside, we have also been called upon to provide uniforms, equipment and insignia for several other productions. Here are some shots of our kit in action in a recent production by Sunfilms, an Italian company:
   Theatre
Another recent production we supported was the saucy "The She Wolves of Doktor Schlock", not military but they sent us some great pictures and with their kind permission we have one to show you. No, we only supplied the hats, not the leather, rubber, whips....
